About: Climate Trends
Climate Trends republishes two key climate records once a day: NASA’s global surface temperature analysis (GISTEMP v4) and NOAA’s monthly CO₂ measurements at Mauna Loa.
Values are copied without modification; rankings, annual changes and charts are calculated by this site.
How this site works
Once a day an automated job downloads the latest public data from the sources listed below, checks it and rebuilds these static pages. Nothing is invented or estimated by us: every number comes from a cited source.
Data sources
- NASA GISS — GISTEMP v4 Surface Temperature Analysis — NASA data: public domain, credit requested
- NOAA Global Monitoring Laboratory — Mauna Loa CO₂ monthly mean — NOAA data: public domain, please cite NOAA GML
Languages
The interface is available in 14 languages and was translated by hand. Where free text from a source is translated, it is done by offline machine translation and labelled as such.
